Audi A3 Cabriolet signs off with A3 Cabriolet Sport and S line Final Edition Models

Audi signals the end of the current A3 Cabriolet with two run-out models – the A3 Cabriolet Sport and S line Final Edition. Price from 23,775. The end of the current Audi A3 Cabriolet is fast approaching, but not before Audi wring out extra sales this spring (yes, spring really isn’t that far off) with the launch of a pair of final edition A3 Cabriolets.

Toyota SAI – New Toyota Hybrid

The new Toyota SAI will be based on the Lexus HS250 (pictured) Update 20/0/09: The Toyota Sai has now been revealed. The Toyota SAI is going to launch on the 20th October in  Japan. To all intents and purposes it is a Lexus HS250 under the skin  and features a similar drivetrain to the new Prius, but with a 2.4 litre petrol engine instead of the 1.8 litre in the Prius.

Electric car range drops by nearly 60% in cold weather

Electric cars like the Nissan LEAF (pictured) can lose 60% of their range when it’s cold We already know that the range of electric cars reduces as the car ages, with Nissan conforming that the LEAF’s range will drop by up to 28 per cent over five years. And now we have confirmation that the ambient temperature can have a big impact on range too, thanks to the AAA, America’s equivalent of the AA. The AAA took three standard EVs on sale in the US - Nissan LEAF, Ford Focus EV and Mitsubishi i-MiEV – and subjected them to test in different ambient temperatures.
