'Baby' Maserati Quattroporte Maserati are about to be the recipients of some of the benefits (if you care to see them as such) of the input of Chrysler, with a Maserati SUV and two new Quattroportes planned to replace the current Maserati Quattroporte over the next few years, thanks to the availability of Chrysler’s platforms and engines. Revealing plans to increase Maserati sales almost ten fold – from under 6,000 a year to over 50,000 – Sergio Marchionne has said Maserati will introduce two new cars to replace the ageing Maserati Quattroporte. MOTORISTS will soon be able to enjoy the very best food in the British Isles as part of their journeys, as Michelin has confirmed a launch date for its 2014 guide to Great Britain & Ireland. The guide will be made available from October 4 as a book, for £15.99, and an Apple app for £5.99, giving drivers fingertip access to every Michelin-awarded restaurant, which in turn could make every long-distance drive a new culinary adventure. Michelin first founded the guide in its native France, where at the time the motor industry was more widespread than anywhere else in the world.

New Jaguar XFR-S burns up the Goodwood hillclimb (video)

The new Jaguar XFR-S – the most powerful XF to date – has just launched and we have video of the XFR-S on the Goodwood Hillclimb. With an even more aggressive look than the XFR, the XFR-S gets 542bhp and 502lb/ft of torque, enough to move Jaguar’s appealing super saloon to 62mph in just 4.4 seconds. Until now all we’ve had are the XFR-S photos Jaguar delivered (together with a dynamic video too), but with this week seeing Goodwood starting the push for this year’s Festival of Speed with a press day, we have the XFR-S out playing on the hillclimb, and Shmee 150 managed to capture Jaguar’s new cat playing.
