Up to 1.2 million motorists unaware they’re over the drink-drive limit
Thu, 28 Nov 2013Research from LV= car insurance has revealed research that suggests in the past two years, a staggering 1.2 million motorists have driven ‘the morning after’ whilst still over the drink-drive limit. The news comes as police forces and anti-drink-drink campaigners prepare for their busiest time of the year, with Christmas historically leading to a peak in drink-driving arrests. Vauxhall and Opel 'not for sale' - CEO Akerson
Thu, 28 Jul 2011GM chief executive Dan Akerson has overnight dismissed claims that its Vauxhall/Opel European division is for sale. CAR's European editor Georg Kacher, and media outlets in Germany, reported last month that German chancellor Angela Merkel had weighed in to the debate and encouraged Volkswagen to step in and take GM Europe off GM's hands. Vauxhall and Opel have also been linked to a possible sale to the Chinese.
