  • KCXX>KCXX<(103.9 FM, "X1039") is a commercial radio station licensed to Lake Arrowhead, California, broadcasting to the Riverside-San Bernardino, California-Ontario, California, area since February 2, 1995. KCXX airs an alternative rock music format. It is owned by All-Pro Broadcasting, a corporation headed by Pro Football Hall of Fame member Willie Davis, who also owns several other businesses.<+>
  • History of 103.9 FM

    >In 1978, 103.9 signed on as KBON with a beautiful music format to represent the rapidly growing Riverside-San Bernardino radio market's full potential. The signal was strong enough to reach the Coachella Valley, Palm Springs, the Morongo Basin and the Victor Valley areas.

    >In 1984, KBON changed to an adult contemporary format under the name K-104.

    >In 1987, KBON again changed formats to traditional oldies.

    >On September 1, 1992, KBON became KCKC-FM making 103.9 a full AM/FM simulcast with KCKC-AM 1350 AM. KCKC-AM had been broadcasting in San Bernardino for 25 years (from 1966 to 1992) with a country music format.

    >On October 31, 1993, KCKC-FM became KABE as it changed to a simulcast of another 103.9 FM KACE which broadcasted to the nearby Los Angeles area. Covering most of Los Angeles and the Inland Empire, the simulcast briefly experimented with a hip hop/R&B format as V103.9.

    >On October 2, 1994, KABE became KAEV following the political and social backlash against hip-hop music. The owners of the station announced an outright prohibition of several derogatory words on air and shifted to a "Positive Urban" format. However, this lowered ratings significantly and on February 6, 1995 KAEV became KCXX and ended its simulcast with KACE.

  • >In 2002, KCXX was sold to All-Pro Broadcasting when the prior owners were mulling over a format change. 2010 was KCXX's 15th Anniversary of operation as an Alternative Rock station.

    >The first song played on KCXX was "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails.

    Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake: Official

    Sat, 30 Jun 2012

The new Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake has finally been revealed before going on sale in November as a 2013 model. The 2013 Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake has been officially revealed by Mercedes-Benz, which is just as well as it’s on show at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend. With the British penchant for estates – and love of what is the most stylish of Mercedes – you’d think the UK would get a nice big range of models of the new CLS Shooting Brake to choose from, but it seems not.

Deloitte interviews 677 'millenials,' concludes they're broke

    Mon, 20 Jan 2014

Until artisanal, sustainable, locally sourced craft-beer bars can upend themselves from their Brooklyn brownstones and directly to your Park Slope loft entrance, it turns out that today's youthful generation will still need to buy cars to get places. In fact, they might even be picky about what they spend time in, which means that young people, even "millennials," are doing research on cars and forming their own opinions as smart consumers. Hey, doesn't that sound familiar?

Nissan GT-R beats its Nurburgring record – more to come today?

    Fri, 17 Apr 2009

The jubilant Nissan GT-R team celebrates their new lap record at the Nurburgring [ad#ad-1] The Nissan GT-R is indeed an impressive car. It offers real supercar performance for what appears to be a relatively modest price. Admittedly it still costs an arm and a leg to service, and with exchange rates as they are at the moment it will become less of a bargain, but it’s certainly chucked a very big spanner in to the works as far as the more established Supercar makers are concerned (Porsche in particular had plenty to say about the last time the GT-R set).
