Less than One Thousand miles - in great shape Steeda's ProFlow Cold Air Intake on an otherwise stock 2011 5.0L Mustang has achieved a blistering 1/4 mile time of 11.96 at over 115mph! Steeda was the first manufacturer to get into the 11.90 range on a radial tire. Competitors had to use slicks to keep up. Steeda Autosports, the world's largest aftermarket manufacturer of Ford performance equipment is once again leading the performance market with our High Velocity Cold Air Intake (CAI). This intake was designed before the car was even available using CAD data supplied exclusively by Ford Motor Company via our Technology Transfer program with Ford engineers. This high performance CAI effectively opens up the intake system of Ford's new five-liter power plant and allows it to breath much more freely than the stock intake system allows - taking your 2011 & Up 5.0L Mustang to the next level of performance. The 2011 & Up 5.0L Mustang’s intake system from Ford is an excellent piece, one of the best ever to come out of Dearborn. But as usual, the engineers at Steeda were up to the challenge of making it even better for the performance customer that demands more power. Our engineers started with a large surface area high-flow nano-fiber air filter, added our famous “race-tested” velocity stack entry and then designed a black powder-coated heat shield with a durable rubber gasket to seal the shield against the vehicle’s hood. BMW introduces diesel 2015 X3 before Chicago Auto Show
Wed, 05 Feb 2014BMW's successful X3 SUV is getting new features for 2015, the company said on Wednesday before the Chicago Auto Show. For the first time in the U.S., a diesel engine will be offered on the midsized 'ute, as will a lower-cost rear-wheel drive model. The BMW X3 xDrive28d -- quite a mouthful -- will deliver 180 hp and a robust 280 lb-ft of torque using a 2.0-liter, TwinPower turbo diesel engine.
Mazda Minagi concept
Wed, 19 Jan 2011Mazda is set to reveal a new concept at the 81st Geneva motor show in March. Called the Minagi, the concept previews a new entry-level compact crossover, which will likely be called the CX-5 when it makes its production debut in Frankfurt later this year. The compact SUV is alleged to 'fully embrace' both Mazda’s Skyactiv technologies as well as the Kodo design language that debuted on the Shinari concept late last year.
New 2013 Nissan Note gets more appealing
Mon, 18 Feb 2013The new Nissan Note has turned in to a Ford Fiesta basher as Nissan turn the Note from a boring little MPV in to a convincing small hatch. We did think the Invitation would be watered down to produce a slightly titivated new Note for production, but much of the style has found its way through in to the new Note – which we first saw in the JDM Nissan Note last summer – and the Note now looks set to take on proper compact hatches like the Ford Fiesta. The nose of the new Note is now more convincing – with new headlights and grill – and the doors get a great big feature crease that looks like a giant smoothing iron has stamped its mark, although Nissan say it’s a ‘Squash Line’ whose ‘angles were inspired by the flight of a fast moving squash ball travelling around a court’.
