2014 Mitsubishi Mirage pricing starts at $13,720

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

Mitsubishi has just announced pricing for its 2014 Mirage, not to be confused with the Cadillac Elmiraj. Mitsubishi's version -- being a bit smaller and bit cheaper -- loses a few letters and opts for conventional spelling. As you can see, this Mirage is a little different from the last time we saw back in the '90s (when it was a compact sedan) -- different to the point of being a completely different car in a completely different segment.

Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Exclusive Edition – just for the UK (video)

Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Exclusive Edition – just for the UK Just like all the ‘premium’ car makers, Porsche has a division that deals with special requests; extras and plans that fall outside the normal options list – Porsche Exclusive. Porsche Exclusive offers a level of personalisation that goes way beyond what the regular options list offers and, in Porsche’s own words, the “…possibilities for personalisation are almost endless”. With that in mind, Porsche Hatfield has commissioned Porshe Exclusive to build just five 911 Carrera 4S cars for the UK, with carefully understated customisations to paintwork and interior, and a smattering of Union Jacks – just to make sure these are ‘British’ 911s.

Ken Block signs for Ford and the WRC

Thu, 07 Jan 2010

Ken Block – who became a YouTube sensation with his gymkhana stunt series ¬– has ended months of speculation by confirming he’ll compete in the 2010 World Rally Championship – switching his Subaru Impreza for a Ford Focus, while he'll also rally a Fiesta in the US. The Monster energy drink-backed deal will form a key part of Ford’s plan to market its hatches in America, and follows last year’s Pikes Peak Fiesta. It’s a tentative start for Block, who’ll be competing in select rounds of the WRC championship – Mexico is believed to be the first – to hone his skills.
