UK New car sales hit 394,806 in March 2013

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

The latest figures from the SMMT show that new car registrations in the UK in March 2013 hit 394,806, up 5.9 per cent over March 2012. The seemingly inexorable rise in new car registrations in the UK is continuing, with the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) reporting sales in March 2013 up 5.9 per cent on March 2012, with a total of 394,086 cars registered. These figures mean that new car registrations have grown for thirteen consecutive month and are now at their highest level since the Government introduced the Scrappage scheme in 2010 to try and breathe new life in to the market and encourage buyers to opt for low emission cars.

Jaguar Concept Speedboat (2012) first official pictures

Premium estates are, we're told by the marketing people, for those with outdoorsy, active lifestyles. To tie in with the car's international launch, Jaguar gave it an active outdoor accessory of its very own: an Ian Callum-designed speedboat.

Westfield's Active Drift Experience is a welcome breath of fresh air at the London motor show. Cue sideways action galore By Guy Bird and CAR reader reporter asp Motor Shows 24 July 2008 10:20 If you're attending the London motor show and fancy a breath of fresh air (it gets swelteringly hot in Excel), you must head outside to see some oversteer action in the Active Drift Experience. What’s new on Westfield’s motor show stand?
