Autoweek reader and frequent spy-photo contributor Spencer Abbott brings us these photos that he took last weekend in Birmingham, Mich. The photos clearly show a heavily camouflaged Cadillac XTS. But given that production-ready examples of Cadillac's new full-sizer have been making frequent appearances on Michigan highways for months, the heavy camo on this XTS is a bit puzzling.

Mercedes-Benz considering Aston Martin buyout

Mercedes-Benz is reportedly considering a deal to buyout sports car manufacturer Aston Martin, fuelling rumours that the canned Aston Martin Lagonda SUV concept from 2009 (pictured above) could once again be back on. The move would see Merc increase its current 5% stake in the British brand following a deal announced last year to supply AMG engines for Aston’s next generation of sports cars. A record 1.18m cars, or 77 percent of production, were sent overseas. Britain’s record year for car production was 1972, when 1.9m cars were produced.
