Hi, we have for sale a SPA Design QR2-41-EVO steering wheel quick release New in 2013 The shaft half of this QR is 23mm at the splines and 1 1/8 inch for attachment to your steering shaft and is made of 4130. The boss, steering wheel half, is made of aluminum that is anodized black with a yellow release collar for better visibility. The boss has a 3 hole bolt pattern for mounting and comes with 3 10-32 by 5/8" long button head screws with nylock nuts for possible mounting for the steering wheel. SPA Design QR's have a master spline so the steering wheel will only go on in the same location every time. This new Evo QR has the master spline proud of the others to make it easier to locate. This Evolution QR2 was developed by SPA Design to take on the demands of some new race cars with more weight and distance of the steering wheel from the QR. With buttons,switches, dashes, paddle shift and even paddle clutch being part of the steering wheel assembly adds weight and distance of the steering wheel from the QR. Lexus sales rising strongly in Europe – up 33 per cent in Western Europe
Mon, 21 Jul 2014The new Lexus IS (pictured) is leading Lexus’s sales growth in europe There’s lots to like about the Lexus range (even if we would like to see proper gearboxes proliferate), and it seems buyers across Europe are getting more and more enamoured of Toyota’s luxury brand. Lexus are reporting soaring sales in Europe so far in 2014, with sales up by 25.4 per cent over the same period in 2013 (and by 33 per cent in Western Europe) and the Lexus IS leading the way. Lexus IS sales were up to 6,923, followed by the Lexus RX SUV and the compact Lexus CT, with even the massively expensive Lexus LS chipping in 265 sales in the first six months of the year.
Barry Meguiar released from hospital, spent 8 days in a coma
Wed, 01 Sep 2010Car enthusiast Barry Meguiar has been released from the hospital in Monterey, Calif., after 17 days of treatment for a rare form of viral pneumonia. Meguiar, 67, left the hospital on Aug. 30, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.
Volvo XC60 R-design – more detail
Tue, 25 Aug 2009Volvo has released more details of the XC60 R-Design Although the XC60 R-Design doesn’t get any sort of power boost, it does get some tweaks to the setup to provide a more sporty drive. Volvo has stiffened up the chassis and added more damping, and tweaked the steering ratios to give a quicker response. But Volvo reckons this has virtually no impact on ride quality (which begs the question ‘Why didn’t they do it to start with if there’s no trade-off’) and sensibly they have not gone down the lowered suspension route, so the XC60 still has good ground clearance. Volvo has added a rear seat entertainment package option to the XC60 On the cosmetic front, the R-Design gets body coloured lower section, matt silk metallic finish for the trim and chrome tailpipes.
