Stephens Engineering Associates SEA 222 SSB Radio

This is the synthesized SEA222 HF SSB transceiver. It is microprocessor controlled. It covers 1.5 to 24MHz in 100 Hz resolution (1.5 to 23MHz for TX). RF output power is 150 watt, supply voltage 13.8V at 25A peak. Modulation modes are AM and USB. It has 100 user programmable (non volatile) memories which can be automatically scanned if needed. On top of that, all standard ITU HF marine channels are pre-programmed in ROM. The radio is made in the USA and extremely robust.

The SEA 222 is a 150 watt SSB transceiver made for marine use. As it covers most of the amateur bands it is quite suitable for the ham operator.

Frequency is entered via a 4×4 membrane keypad. The 8-digit alphanumeric display provides frequency and channel data. The SEA 222 has 258 pre-programmed and 100 freely usable channels. Up to 10 channels can be accessed directly using the keypad, these can be programmed with emergency frequencies.   Heres what boats.com says about it. But if you are looking for a slightly more advanced workhorse radio — simple, strong, reliable — the SEA 222 has proven to be a favorite among professional yacht captains and long-term cruising folk. The radio was designed from the ground up as marine transceiver. It has 358 pre-programmed ITU channels and 100 programmable channels — all you'll even need for sailing the world. Mode and channel selection are via a moisture-proof, touch-key pad that has numbers and legends printed large enough for easy selection, even at night. Available through the discount houses for less than $2,000, this be an excellent SSB for those who want a simple high seas telephone.

Was in working condition when removed from vessel. Has areas of wear and surface scratches from being a used item. Sold as pictured. Includes manual.
