Today it’s the turn of Peugeot to reveal an updated version of the Exalt Concept we saw at the Beijing Motor Show in April. Saab calls off deal with Chinese automaker

Saab parent Spyker Cars NV said Thursday that a strategic partnership deal with China's Hawtai Motor Group that would provide cash to help Saab turn around its business has been terminated. As a result, Saab may enter into a new strategic partnership with Hawtai or another Chinese party on manufacturing, technology and distribution in China, Spyker said in a release. "Since it became clear that Hawtai was not able to obtain all the necessary consents, the parties were forced to terminate the agreement with Saab Automobile and Spyker with immediate effect.

Ford overhauls plans for the U.S. C-Max to go with fewer seats, all hybrids

Ford has shifted gears on its plans for the C-Max wagon in the United States and will now sell only the five-seat version with hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains, beginning in 2012. Ford has canceled plans to sell the seven-seat version of the C-Max with a conventional gasoline engine in the States. Ford will call the car the C-Max hybrid, and C-Max Energi will be the name of the plug-in version.
