VW e-Golf & e-Up! electric cars Frankfurt debut

The VW e-Golf & e-Up! electric cars (pictured) will debut at Frankfurt. Electric cars may be a niche market, but that hasn’t stopped car makers trying to take a piece of whatever action there is, especially as governments around the world are subsidising EVs and and their zero emissions at point of use will help (as long as they sell any) their average CO2 levels.

Kia four-door sports sedan concept

Kia isn't giving much away about its Frankfurt-bound concept car, indeed it hasn't even released its name yet, referring to it as the 'four-door sports sedan concept.' The press release talks of it as 'signalling a distinctive new design direction' for the Korean brand, yet the now-familiar 'tiger-nose' grille and Optima-esque A-pillar/cant rail/C-pillar highlight are very much in evidence. "No matter from which perspective you look at it - this concept car is roaring with energy and ready for take-off," says Peter Schreyer, Kia Motors Chief Design Officer."I believe the car is a strong statement from Kia: we are ready to fast forward to an all new chapter." Sold out: RM sells entire vehicle inventory at Hershey auction

RM Auctions recorded a 100 percent sell-through rate at its Vintage Motor Cars of Hershey (Pa.) event. With more than 140 vehicles featured, the auction house posted $8.8 million in total sales. There was worldwide interest for the cars as bidders on the phone and the Internet represented 18 different countries, including Argentina, Turkey and Australia.
