This electronic device picks up the smallest amount of stray current leakage that is near impossible to find any other way . Electrolysis is the accelerated corroding / rusting of a metal in salt or fresh water due to an electrical current passing through that metal . This SEABIS microprocessor will detect any electrical current from 10 volts to 32 volts and down to 10 millionths of an amp and it is the amps not the voltage that causes damaging electrolysis .
Seabis is easy to use , connect the positive lead to the positive battery terminal on the battery bank , negative to the negative and the earth to the engine which is the common earth . Any current will be detected if no ELECTROLYSIS then either one of the top 2 GREEN LED lights will illuminate . If harmful stray unwanted current leaks are detected either the right or left RED LED will light up these are in the middle of the device and are clearly marked " Serious " below this is another 2 RED led's which are marked "Critical " . There are 2 banks of LED's because the left side refers to the POSITIVE Battery terminal which indicates stray current flowing into the positive battery terminal while the right side indicates current flowing away from the negative terminal . There are also 2 YELLOW LED's which show very small not as serious electrolysis current in the system .
The only way to stop electrolysis is to constantly monitor for these damaging current leakages 100% of the time because current leakage will increase under load , with higher humidity , with worn or wet electronic or electrical equipment such as ; Winch , Pump , Radio , Navigation Lights , Generator , Alternator , Starter Motor , absolutely anything powered by electricity . The SEABIS device clearly shows that there is electrolysis damaging current flow and by isolating the equipment that is allowing electrolysis to corrode away metal the problem can be fixed .  Temporally disconnect a device and if the " GREEN LED " lights up instead of the " RED LED " then the culprit has been found and once repaired / rewired will no longer cause electrolysis .
There is also another " RED LED " right in the centre of the SEABIS which is marked " AC only ALARM " this will pick up AC ( Alternating Current ) that IS leaking into the DC system and damaging the batteries in the battery bank . This AC current can also be EXTREMELY dangerous to the occupants on the vessel and a qualified electrician should be call immediately .
The SEABIS unit comes with detailed 13 page instructions booklet titled " HOW TO STOP METAL CORRISION ( ELECTROLYSIS ) . " More detail technical information can be found @ www.seabis.com  . So if you have a electrolysis problem and wish to eliminate the corrosion permanently or wish to guard against any future problems with accelerated electrolysis causing severe corrosion of propellor , drive legs / outboard leg , skin fittings , gearbox ,  radiator and steel aluminium aluminum hulls ....

2011 Ford Flex goes Titanium

Thu, 20 May 2010

Taking a page from its SEMA playbook, Ford is rolling out a top-of-the-line, semi-blinged-out people hauler for 2011, the Flex Titanium. It's dressed up for a night on the town, or a trip to soccer practice, and was devised by Ford product gurus who noticed most Flex customers tend to take high levels of content in their vehicles. The Flex Titanium has a unique black chrome-finish grille with Flex badging on the edge of the hood--a cue straight from SEMA models in 2008 and 2009.

As you might expect from Rolls-Royce, these things are relative: the RR4 will be longer than a long-wheelbase BMW 7-series and is expected to cost £175,000. Until now, information on the baby Rolls has been scant, but we can finally add some concrete detail to the story.
