Twenty years ago next month, in December 1992, Toyota started producing cars in the UK in a new plant at Burnaston in Derbyshire. And with such a milestone looming, Toyota are keen to celebrate.

Used car valuation expert CAP has described the 1.6-litre diesel model as a "best kept secret" and has predicted that the Sport model will retain 32 per cent of its value after three-years and 60,000-miles. Opel to show range-extending hybrid at Geneva motor show

Opel, General Motors' European unit, will unveil its vehicle that uses the range-extending powertrain first shown in the Chevrolet Volt, at the Geneva motor show in March. On Monday, Opel said that the car will be named Ampera. The Ampera will have four seats and five doors.
