We’re eagerly anticipating the launch of the new 2014 BMW M3 saloon and M4 Coupe, but before we’ve even driven those cars (we will do soon, though) our attention has been diverted by the announcement of the new 2014 BMW M4 Convertible. Using the same running gear as its hard-topped siblings, the M4 Convertible adds a touch more glamour thanks to that electric folding roof. Perfect for cruising the French Riviera or whizzing round the Nurburgring, it really is quite the car.

The production version of the Lincoln MKC Compact SUV (pictured) has been revealed When Ford divested itself of its premier marques – Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover – it left it with little wriggle room to compete in anything but the mainstream car market. Ford in Europe is trying to address that by launching ‘Vignale’ badged cars which promise to offer more ‘Premium quality’ than its mainstream models, and Ford in the US is doing the same thing by trying to reinvent the Lincoln badge as the answer to German premium models. Twin-turbo Ferrari 458 Italia takes on the Lamborghini LP-700-4 Aventador: Video

Exotic-car tuner Underground Racing from North Carolina prepared a Ferrari 458 Italia with a “bolt-on” twin-turbo system, boosting engine output to 700 hp. For comparison, the tuner matched the blown Ferrari against a Lamborghini LP-700-4 Aventador and its naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12, rated at 700 hp. “We were interested to see how they stacked up against each other after seeing a twin-turbo Gallardo almost get beat by an Aventador,” Underground Racing president Kevin Howeth said.
