Lego movie needs vehicle designers

Lego is giving its fans the chance to win $1,000 and see their own custom Lego vehicle designs on the big screen in ‘Lego: The Motion Picture'. There are no limitations on what kind of vehicles you can design, but the trick is that the vehicle you design must look like it was built from something else - a castle that was made into a racecar, a hot dog stand that was made into an airplane, for example. The Warner Brothers 3D CGI film will be directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller – director of '21 Jump Street' and ‘Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs' – and produced by Dan Lin (‘Sherlock Holmes') and ‘How to Train Your Dragon' producer Roy Lee.

Details about the high-performance 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, taken from the dealer ordering guide, are spreading on the Internet courtesy of fans on the Camaro5 message board. Here are some of the highlights: -- The LSA supercharged 6.2-liter V8 will deliver 580 hp and 556 lb-ft of torque on premium fuel. Porsche has released a video featuring its Design Director, Michael Mauer, explaining how he and his team went about redesigning the 911, an ‘automotive, engineering icon' as he describes it. "What we as designers are striving to above all is to optimize the width to height ratio with the result that although the 911's width has not increased, the front axle area has become wider, and we've managed to make the roof a bit lower," Mauer explains via a rather dramatic-sounding voiceover.
