TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE:

Our Items:

What to Expect  - We sell Government surplus. As such, items when stated as "NEW" have not been used for their intended purpose. Because this is surplus the Government was the first purchaser of the item, you are the second purchaser. With surplus a new item may or may not be in its original packaging. Unless you see the packaging in the picture assume it is not present. A lack of packaging does NOT mean the item is used or that it is not new and has never been used for its intended purpose. Surplus generally sells at a significant discount over a retail store and the lack of packaging or a few scuff marks are the reasons. Most buyers 99% seem to understand this and like saving $$$. We have a few that do not. If you are expecting pristine items with sealed packaging like you would get at Wal Mart, Lowes, etc you need to go pay the full price at those stores!!! Surplus will not make you happy no matter how much money you have saved. Along these lines we have developed the following condition codes that apply to surplus material from the Government so you know what to expect:

New - Never used for its intended purpose. May have a few minor blemishes due to a lack of packaging. Original packaging materials may or may not be present. Example - Wrench never used on a bolt

Very Good - An item used a few times shows normal wear from its intended purpose. New items which have a users ID engraved on the item would also fall in this category. 100% functional not bent or broken.

Good - An item that shows significant use but is useable for its intended purpose. Item is not bent or broken.

Parts Only / Broken - An item that does not function as intended may need repair or is sold for parts. These items are sold as is No Returns are accepted EVER for ANY Reason on Parts Only / Broken items.

As Is - We cannot verify operation / condition of item. These items are sold as is No Returns are accepted EVER for ANY Reason on As Is Items.

International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. Items which are sold as used are marked as such on the shipping manifest. Most countries do not charge import duties on used goods. Check your local regulations for more information. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We do not mark merchandise values below ebay sale value or mark items as ‘gifts’ - DO NOT ASK.... United States and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.

NOTE TO BUYERS CONCERNING SHIPPING COSTS: Please be aware shipping costs have under gone HUGE increases due to fuel cost increases. Little known fact....UPS revises their fuel surcharge every week!!!! Unfortunately we must pass these costs on to you the buyer. We pass along our discounted UPS daily rates to you the customer. UPS retail rates (The rate you pay at a walk up counter are even higher!!!) Many people do not realize what makes up a UPS rate.  The Rate is determined by several factors:Package Weight, Package size, Your Location (Rural or Urban), Residence or Business, Fuel Surcharge (Currently 10.5%)  Lets Assume a 15lb package to zone 4 about 1000 miles.

Daily Rates: Package $7.08 + Residential Surcharge $1.90 + Rural Surcharge $2.30 +Fuel Surcharge $1.18 = $12.46

Retail Rates Package $10.33 + Residential Surcharge $1.90 + Rural Surcharge $2.35 +Fuel Surcharge $1.53 = $16.11

On this example shipment we would have saved you about $3.50 over retail rates that you would pay at a UPS store. To our buyers we are passing along our shipping discounts but costs have gone up just like gas has.  If you don't like the rates don't blame us these are simply costs we must pass on.  If you live in a rural area there is a surcharge.  If you want to know if you do. UPS has a list of surcharge zip codes on their website.  Please keep these facts in mind when leaving feedback....Thanks

NOTE TO BUYERS CONCERNING COMMUNICATION FROM US: What to expect....We will answer your questions prior to the end of the auction. Please realize it may take up to 24 hours or at times longer due to family, travel or work requirements. If this time frame does not work for you sorry its the best we can do as we have full time jobs and small children. We will ship your items promptly...We would rather not waste time playing email games but invest our time in shipping your items quickly. Our time is limited and Ebay is what we do in our spare time...Many items shipped thru USPS do not have tracking numbers to save YOU $$$$. If you want tracking let us know so we can add that cost to your invoice.

This an Auction....We are not (Walmart Lowes Home Depot etc.) I think you get the idea........We are a surplus liquidator and as such sell all items as is where is with NO WARRANTY expressed or implied.  Items are not returnable.  We are not set up to take and returns and returns cost $$$ which would result in higher costs to our buyers.  We have this policy  to keep our costs low and save you $$$$.  We sell online exclusively and do not have a "Brick and mortar" store for in person browsing.  If you have questions please email them and we will answer them. It may take up to 24 hours for us to answer emails.  We prefer to communicate by email as we have regular jobs and a family so please allow for that. We sell thousands of different items from surplus WE ADMIT we don't know everything about all of them it is impossible....If you know more than we do about an item a kind word of advice is appreciated. We do not intend to mislead anyone so we do the best we can with what we know. If we don't know we will tell you....

Due to the wide variety of the items we sell, items are described to the best of our knowledge and ability. We DO NOT warrant any item for any specific purpose, application, or vehicle due to the nature of Government and Military Surplus Items. Any application information provided by us is for the convience of the customer and is not to be used in the place of the buyers normal due diligence. It is the buyer's responsibility to make sure the item will work in their application or vehicle. We will be happy to answer any questions while bidding is open. Once bidding is closed and you have purchased the item it is yours and is NON RETURNABLE!!! This is the way auctions and surplus sales work......This is the way we buy and the way we sell. All items are sold where is as is with no warranty expressed or implied. This is the way auction sales work.

All items shipped UPS are insured for the ebay value of the item. Postal service items may be insured. Any thing that happens to your items in transit (Lost Stolen Damaged) after it leaves our possession is the Carriers and YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. Our terms are FOB (Freight on Board) Pickens, SC This is common sense.....but some people have no sense of personal responsibility for their decisions. When insurance is taken ALL claims must be filed with the carrier (UPS or US Postal Service) We will assist you any way we can but, ultimately the claim is between you and the carrier. West Coast and over seas buyers be aware shipping can sometimes be very slow. This is beyond our control. Please direct comments about slow shipping service to your local postal or UPS authority. We have had shipments to the west coast take up to 15 business days.

Feedback Policy:We leave feedback as appropriate. Due to the large number of items listed, we leave feedback in bulk. Feedback is not the place to resolve problems. We are kind of like Law Enforcement your attitude determines our attitude. If there is a problem, a kind email explaining the problem will get more results than threats. We will work to resolve all problems in a way that is fair to both of us. Fairness is a two way street and there are two sides to every problem. We've been selling on Ebay for over 8 years we know how things work.  We plan to continue to do this so we have no interest in "ripping" off buyers for a few dollars we don't do that.  Its not in our long term best interest.  This is not our first rodeo so kindness and honesty will get results.  Making threats of leaving negative feedback is against the ebay rules will be reported. Feedback will not be left until we are sure you have received your item and you are satisfied. Your feedback about us will indicate that you have received your item. 5 star feedback is always appreciated. If for some reason you can't leave us 5 stars let us know so we can improve.....Thanks

If you don't agree to any these conditions or don't like something about us please do us both a favor and don't buy. Its a free county.....You don't have to buy.....We want you to buy if you like what you see.  To our existing customers nothing has changed and you should expect to get the same great bargains and items like you always have from us!!! Unfortunately a few bad apples recently have forced us to have to post these Lawyerese rules and policies.

E85 makes inroads on cost and availability

Wed, 30 Dec 2009

Three years ago, we embarked on a Midwest road trip in search of what was then the Holy Grail of fuel: E85. Our findings weren't too positive--there were far more E85-compatible vehicles on the road in 2006 (5 million) than there were E85 pumps to fuel them (about 700 out of some 200,000 fuel stations nationwide). In addition, those burning the mix of 15 percent gasoline and 85 percent ethanol were paying a pretty penny for their earth-friendly ways, losing about 15 percent in fuel economy while often paying the same price as for regular unleaded.
