UP FOR AUCTION IS A SLIGHTLY USED STS TURBO KIT FOR THE Z06 CORVETTE 2006-2008 MODEL. THIS SYSTEM WAS PROFESSIONALLY REMOVED BY THE CORVETTE SHOP IN SAN DIEGO AND YOU ARE WELCOME TO CALL THEM FOR ANY SPECIFIC QUESTIONS. I HAD THIS REMOVED TO BRING THE CAR BACK TO STOCK SPECIFICATIONS, AS IT IS GOING TO BE SOLD SO I CAN PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE. I DID NOT RACE WITH THIS SYSTEM, BUT DID HAVE IT ON THE DYNO GETTING ABOUT 760 HORSEPOWER WITH ABOUT 6 1/2-7LBS OF BOOST. I DO HAVE THE DYNO SHEETS AND CAN GIVE THEM TO THE BUYER. I AM INCLUDING A LOT OF EXTRA PARTS, SEE PICS, PLUS GAUGES THAT GO ON THE PILLAR, STS OIL PUMP, AND OIL COOLER. ALL TOLD YOU ARE GETTING A PRETTY COMPLETE SYSTEM, BUT I CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT. EVERYTHING STS THAT WAS ON THE CAR WILL BE INCLUDED WITH THE TURBOS. I WAS TOLD BY THE MECHANIC THAT THE BUYER SHOULD GO THROUGH THE TURBOS BEFORE INSTALLING THEM. WITH THE HIGH COMPRESSION ON THE Z06 IT WASN'T NECESSARY TO HAVE THE BIGGER TURBOS. I BOUGHT THE CAR WITH THEM ALREADY INSTALLED AND HAVE RECEIPTS ON THE INSTALLATION, WHICH WILL GO WITH THE BUYER. LOOKS LIKE HE PUT OVER $15,000 INTO IT. I AM SELLING BECAUSE THE CAR WILL BE SOLD SHORTLY AND WISH THE BUYER TO HAVE A COMPLETELY STOCK VEHICLE. THIS IS A VERY GOOD DEAL FOR THE PERSON LOOK TO TURBO THEIR CORVETTE. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IT COULD FIT ON A REGULAR C-6, BUT YOU WOULD NEED TO DO SOME SLIGHT MODIFICATIONS. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION. NO WARRANTIES. BUYER MUST DEPOSIT $1000 THROUGH PAYPAL AFTER AUCTION CLOSES WITHIN 72 HRS. I WILL TAKE A CASHIERS CHECK ONLY OR CASH. SHIPPING IS THE RESONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER, AND IT IS HEAVY. I AM SUGGESTING FOR THOSE WHO LIVE CLOSE ENOUGH TO COME PICK IT UP. THIS IS A GREAT SYSTEM AND YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE POWER. IF YOU HAVE READ ABOUT STS THEN YOU KNOW THAT WITH THE TURBOS IN BACK YOU LEAVE THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT CLEAN AND COOL. I AM NOT REAL KNOWLEDGABLE ABOUT THESE SYSTEMS, SO YOU CAN FEEL FREE TO CALL THE CORVETTE SHOP, IN SAN DIEGO, CA., AND SPEAK WITH THEM. AGAIN, THEY ARE A PROFESSIONAL GROUP AND KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS WELCOME, BUT ALL FUNDS MUST BE IN US DOLLARS AND THROUGH A US BANK. PLEASE EMAIL ME FOR ANY QUESTIONS AND I WILL DO MY BEST TO ANSWER. MY FEEDBACK IS SOLID AND WISH TO KEEP IT SO. NO REFUNDS.

Lincoln MKR concept

Tue, 02 Jan 2007

By Tim Pollard Motor Shows 02 January 2007 11:49 Lincoln MKR Concept: the lowdown Lincoln will slide the wraps off its answer to the Mercedes CLS at the Detroit Motor Show next week: this luxurious and wedgy MKR concept. It’s the work of ex-Volvo British designer Peter Horbury, who now heads Ford’s Amercian design division, and hints at how Lincolns will look in the years ahead: the Viking-hat grille is straddled by pencil-thin LED headlights, while the flanks of the car are notably uncluttered. Don’t expect to see the 21-inch wheels and ‘Lincoln star’ patterns in the tyre treads on production cars any time soon, though.

Most of Saleen sold to Michigan group

Wed, 04 Feb 2009

The future of specialty carmaker Saleen Inc. is getting a little clearer: Most of the company was sold to a Michigan group last week after being on the block since November. An entity called MJ Acquisitions, which owns parts and engine companies in Michigan, bought Saleen’s performance street-car program, supercharger and aftermarket business from Los Angeles private-investment firm Hancock Park Associates.
