The first major breakthrough in wear bar technology since the 1950s. Unique corner-carving hourglass design yields better control at speed with no increased steering effort. Better tracking on trailshourglass wear bar shape catches snow from ski sides to make steering more positive. Average of 1 - 2 tighter turning radius in soft snow conditions. 20% lighter than conventional 1/2 diameter round wear bars. Zinc-plated for corrosion resistance. Lifetime wear rate is nearly equal to current round and square wear bar types. Manufactured by Stud Boy. Designed and tested by USI. Sold in pairs. Sold in pairs. Ferrari is doing its part to help Hurricane Sandy victims by auctioning off the first F12 Berlinetta that will be sold on American soil. The base price of Ferrari's halo model is about $315,000. We'd expect this one to go for much more than that.

ALMOST HALF of the UK’s drivers have tried to fix their car at home with help from an online video rather than take it to a garage. A study by breakeryard.com shows two-fifths of drivers use videos from websites such as Youtube to learn how to fix their car. The study also showed that more than half (54%) had also tried to fix their car at home to save money on repair bills.

Oliver Kuttner got into the alternative car business to make money. Or, more accurately, he got into it to win money. In 2010, the $5 million Progressive Insurance Automotive X Prize was up for grabs and Kuttner, a Charlottesville, Va., real estate developer and former IMSA/ALMS racer, won it with his single-cylinder-engined Very Light Car (“Lightweight Endeavors,” June 27, 2011).
