Condition:Used

Cranking manual antenna from a vintage Studebaker. I am not sure on the application, but it probably was correct for several years and/or different models. Could be a cool piece added to any old vehicle. The mast part is in fair shape, couple little tweaks and bends, but not bad. Little top piece still there. The cranking knob is in decent shape but the threaded part that attaches to the cowl is damaged/broken, see pics. I cleaned and lubed it somewhat and it sorta works. It will crank up and down, but not completely without some assistance pulling/pushing on the mast part. I never ran it up/down much for fear of damaging whatever inside makes it function. It may be repairable, might be usable for parts only. Look close. Rare parts, low prices. See my other auctions.

I am totally parting out a 46 47 48 Plymouth 4 door. Watch my upcoming auctions for parts and ask if there is anything specific you want listed.

Lighter parts are sent by USPS. Heavier parts are sent by Fed Ex. I live in the country and Fed Ex has recently moved farther away still. So, I have to drive 25 miles there and back, or pay them $4 per package to stop here. Bubble wrap, tape and packaging materials cost money. I sell my parts at a low price, and sometimes lose money after shipping and fees. I don't "pad" my shipping costs, but try to at least break even. If the actual cost is somewhat less, I always issue a refund. Thanks for understanding.

Here's what we missed at the 2014 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d'Este

Fri, 30 May 2014

This year's Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este took place over the weekend of 23-35 May. Bathed in spring sunshine, the lawns of the Grand Hotel Villa d'Este played host to the annual gathering of 50 of the world's finest classic and concept cars, and 35 motorbikes. Sadly, clashing commitments meant that CDN couldn't jet down to Lake Como this year.

Ford Model T climbs Ben Nevis: Ford Heritage Images

Ford Model T climbs Ben Nevis in 1911 (click for full size image) When the good Mr Clarkson decided Top Gear should do a piece about a Land Rover Discovery using its incredible off-road abilities to climb a mountain in Scotland we were all astonished that – despite a couple of hiccups on the way – he managed to get one of Land Rover’s finest up a mountain where cars were never designed to go. What’s even more astonishing is that Ford managed to do the same 100 years go, but they used a standard Model T and choose Britain’s tallest mountain – Ben Nevis – for the stunt. The 20 horsepower Model T was driven up Ben Nevis as a publicity stunt for Ford’s agent in Edinburgh.
