We are selling by auction a NOS dash compartment lock and keys assembly and good used gas filler cap. The compartment lock and keys are for Hurd equipped 1951 and 1952 Commanders and the cap is a random used cap of the approx. time frame as 1951 - 1952. It by luck matched these keys. The key fit is good with a slight 'catch' occurring occasionally during operation. It is what we would guess to be a 95% match and we are wanting you to be aware that is is not a perfect match though we would not hesitate to use it on one of our own cars.   High quality original made in the USA  **We make every effort to ship your part safely and economically. Vauxhall Adam (& Opel Adam): GM’s new ‘MINI’ in Europe

It's the Vauxhall Adam - name after Adam Opel GM’s MINI rivalling new small car for Europe will be the Vauxhall Adam, an odd name to celebrate the founder of Opel. It’s been known as the Opel ‘Junior’ (and, of course, Vauxhall ‘Junior’ for the UK) as it’s been blatting round roads camouflaged with swirly paint and bolt-on panels. But now it has a name, and the name is Adam (we also got the Adam ‘writing’ out its own name on the roads of Frankfurt in a rather odd introduction to the new ‘Mini’ car – video below).

Ford Transit production to end in Southampton

Ford is to close its Transit production facility in Southampton, ending more than 100 years of vehicle manufacture in the UK. Most UK car and van buyers still think of Ford as ‘British’, but even though Ford has been building cars in the UK for over 100 years, they haven’t built a single car in the UK for a decade. And now even white van man’s vehicle of choice - the Ford Transit – is being shipped off to Turkey.
