Infiniti Q50 teased ahead of Detroit debut

The first Infiniti to carry the new nomenclature for the marque – the Infiniti Q50 – gets teased in a short video ahead of a Detroit debut. We managed to break the news that the new Infiniti G37 would be arriving at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show back in October, but what we didn’t know then was that it would be getting a new name. The new Infiniti G Series cars will now be the Infiniti Q50 as Infiniti change their car names (for reasons only Infiniti understand) to be prefixed by ‘QX’ for anything resembling a crossover and just ‘Q’ for anything that’s not.

Concept Car of the Week: Mazda Taiki (2007)

Mazda had been doing fantastically well with its concepts since the end of 2006, and its offering for the 2007 Tokyo motor show didn't buck the trend. The fourth in the 'Nagare' series that explored the idea of 'Flow, it lined up on the Mazda stand with its older brothers for the first time, and was understandably a most impressive display and one of the highlights of this show. Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 deliveries halted

Hot business over on the forums today: According to GM Inside News, Chevrolet apparently has stopped delivery of the Camaro ZL1 because of an undisclosed issue. The whacking, thwacking, lumberjacking-and-it's-OK pony cars sent to dealers and--according to one poster--delivered to at least one customer are being hauled in for a once-over because of an unspecified possible issue with the potent machines. According to Monte Doran, communications manager for Corvette and Camaro, "We go through a standard quality assessment with every new vehicle and we found what we thought was a potential concern.
