College Exhibition: Creapole MA Degree Show 2011
Fri, 29 Apr 2011Creapole Design School – 'Ecole de Creation Management' as it refers to itself – has just held its annual Masters Week exhibition at its central Parisian premises. The focus of this year's show is 'intelligent technology', proposing alternative propulsion systems for the transport of tomorrow, from the urban to the aquatic, from the functional to the fictional. The challenge for these young designers is to take these new technologies and apply them in an attractive, meaningful and human way.
Toyota Prius T Spirit Review & Road Test (2010 / 2011)
Sun, 12 Dec 2010We spend a week with the Toyota Prius There are many – us included – who thought it extremely unlikely that Toyota would ever want to send us any of their hybrid cars for review. Much less – in light of our oft stated dislike of the Prius and all the motoring piousness it represents – let us review the latest Toyota Prius But it turns out that Toyota are a decent bunch of chaps who believe that their cars – even their hybrid cars – are capable of standing up to scrutiny, even with our well known antipathy to the whole hybrid direction. And let’s face it, so entrenched is the Prius as a ‘Planet Saver’ in the minds of many that even if we simply confirm our opinion after a week of playing it’s not really going to make much difference to Toyota.
Peugeot Partner Teepee Outdoor HDi 110 Review & Road Test Part 2
Sat, 24 Apr 2010Peugeot Partner Tepee Outdoor HDi 110 Review & Road Test Part 2 One unexpected bonus of driving a van with windows came at the local branch of Waitrose when I noticed the look I was getting from a fellow shopper as we both unloaded our respective trolley’s contents into our respective boots. While he hurried to empty his shopping trolley in the heavy rain I stayed lovely and dry under the protection of the enormous tailgate as I leisurely unloaded mine. This will never be a particularly cool car but the cool level must rise ever so slightly when other motorists express a sliver of envy, if only for that one small thing.
