GMC Granite concept (w/ Video)
Mon, 18 Jan 2010The biggest surprise at the 2010 NAIAS was GMC's Granite concept - a design that expands (or rather contracts) the truck/crossover brand's 'professional grade' philosophy to a compact hatchback aimed at urban hipsters and early adopters. Conceived by Frank Saucedo's Advanced Design team in California and then built at GM's Design Center in Detroit, the Granite combines the basic proportions of the Nissan Cube and Scion xB with a military/industrial feel inspired by the current G-Star and Diesel fashion lines. Audi R8 Spyder (2010) first pictures
Thu, 10 Sep 2009By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 10 September 2009 10:15 These are the first pictures of the Audi R8 Spyder, after the images were leaked onto the internet ahead of the car’s debut at the Frankfurt motor show next week. Power is only expected to come from the 5.2-litre V10 engine, so the Spyder will send 518bhp and 390lb ft to all four wheels via either a six-speed manual or an automated-manual R-tronic gearbox. The R8 Spyder also has the same double-strake front intakes and rear vents as the V10, plus the chrome-surrounded central grille and twin oval exhausts.
Lamborghini 50th Anniversary Grand Tour
Mon, 08 Oct 20122013 is the 50th anniversary of the creation of Lamborghini by Ferruccio Lamborghini and is being celebrated by the Lamborghini 50th Anniversary Grand Tour. Ferruccio Lamborghini may just have been a tractor builder in the eyes of Enzo Ferrari, but 50 years on from the point where Ferruccio Lamborghini started to make the cars he wanted to drive – because Ferrari didn’t – Lamborghini can be thought of as Ferrari’s equal – if historically a slightly more barking one. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Lamborghini’s first car, Lamborghini are organising events around the world in 2013 to celebrate all things Sant’Agata, culminating in the Lamborghini 50th Anniversary Grand Tour on 7th – 11th May 2013.
