Jaguar XF Diesel S (2008): first details
Mon, 29 Dec 2008By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 29 December 2008 00:31 Jaguar today announces a family of new higher-powered diesel engines, led by a rapid 271bhp version of the derv XF that's aimed squarely at the BMW 535d. It's the fastest diesel Jag ever – and will also slot into the XK coupe and cabrio.The diesel work-out is good news for the XF – today's 2.7-litre V6 turbodiesel doesn't have the clout to mix it with the best German engines. We've already complained about the slothful performance of our long-term test XF and the new, bigger 3.0-litre oil-burner should answer such criticisms.
Kia Ray Concept at Chicago Motor Show
Thu, 21 Jan 2010Kia wil preview the Kia Ray Concept plug-in hybrid at the Chicago Motor Show next month Yes, the Detroit Motor Show is only just about done, but waiting in the wings is the rather less fancy Chicago Motor Show (although they probably won’t thank us for describing it as such). But despite Chicago being a lower key affair than Detroit they will still get their share of new stuff. Well, not necessarily new (we reported that North America gets the BMW Alpina B7 which will debut at Chicago) but certainly new to the US.

Thu, 08 Jul 2010The Ford Kuga gets a new diesel lump in two flavours for 2010/2011 It shouldn’t come as a much of a shock that Ford are sticking new diesel engines in the Ford Kuga. We reported back in February that the Kuga was due an engine transplant with the Mondeo also in line for some new oily bits. Ford sent us details of the new Mondeo engines for 2011 last month, and now its the turn of the Kuga.
