Condition:Remanufactured

Remanufactured Field circuit resistor as used in the Sunbeam Tiger Mk2.  Lucas part # 45175,  value 15 ohms.  This resistor looks just like a ballast resister but with a value of 15 ohms, obviously it is not.  These are wired in the field circuit of the alternator on the Sunbeam Tiger Mk2.  They have not been available for at least 20 years or more.  These resistors are wired in parallel with the ignition warning light (alternator/charge warning lamp).

The last picture shows the resistor installed next to the field control relay in an original Sunbeam Tiger MK2.

I have sold a couple dozen of these with complete satisfaction!  This is the last one of these that I will be offering.  Your last chance to buy a "basically brand new" unit!!

It might be possible that these were used on other British cars that used Ford engines, alternators and voltage regulators.  I cannot find accurate wiring diagrams for those cars.  (TVR with Ford 289, AC Cobra 289 with alternator, 427 Cobra)  I find it very hard to believe that Lucas would only built 535 of these resistor units just for the MK2 Sunbeam Tiger.

This is the last ones of these that I have... I had listed 2 of these last month and they're gone. this will be the last one of these that I will be offering.

I doubt that you will have another chance to purchase these basically "AS NEW"  units.

If you own a MK2 Tiger and need new oil cooler/remote oil filter hoses, I will be manufacturing a couple more sets in the very near future.  I have made three sets so far with complete satisfaction.  I am also tooling up to make the MK1/MK1A remote oil filter hoses.  I also have a complete set of Mk2 Tiger wheel arch moldings.  contact me if you have an interest in any of these!  I also have a 1966 Shelby GT350 available...

Some notes on shipping...   Ebay has decides that sellers are solely responsible for both delivery time and losses due to lost mail.  As such, I have absolutely no choice but to insist that all items are shipped by priority mail and are fully insured.  Deliveries outside the USA will ship by 1st class International when the weight allows it.  Buyers cannot opt out of either priority US mail or insurance as EBAY will still hold me completely liable regardless (I just found that out)

That said, I only charge what the postage actually costs.  I do not generally charge for packing materials.  If you pay to much for postage I automatically refund any overpayment (over $1)

If you do not want to pay for priority mail and insurance I am afraid you will have to pass. It is not negotiable.

International buyers...   Do NOT ask me to falsify customs documentation, you will be ignored.  I always write "parts for antique car over 50 years old"  this usually provides for duty free shipments.

I happily combine shipping on multiple purchases when possible.  I ship on the day payment is made (Monday through Friday)

Lexus has launched a range of F-Sport accessories for the new Lexus IS Convertible With the Lexus IS Convertible having launched in Japan this week, and the Lexus IS 250C arriving in the UK in July (and the Lexus IS 350C to arrive sometime next year), Lexus are looking for ways to ‘Up-sell’ the range, particularly as it looks like it will totally eclipse the woeful SC430. With prices starting from low £30k, there is no doubt a big push to get people to spec up their cars. And what better way than to offer some nice Lexus F-Sport bits and pieces to bolt on to your new pride and joy.

Video: Violent SRT Viper Cup crash leaves driver unharmed

Mon, 21 May 2012

SRT Viper Cup driver David Pintaric got a little wide in his Viper ACR-X at Road America, and the result was the violent end-over-end tumble you see posted above. The opening-lap crash took place during round three of the SRT Viper Cup and was caused by “driver error.” Pintaric was leading the series in points for the season when the crash took place.
