The Toyota FT-1 sure does look like the Bertone Mantide
Thu, 16 Jan 2014We really liked the Toyota FT-1, which caught us off guard in the best possible way when it emerged at the Detroit auto show. In fact, we liked Toyota's “spiritual pace car” enough to call it the most fun new thing on the floor -- and we're hoping the automaker's execs take notice. BMW Concept 1-series tii and M3 saloon (2007): first official pictures
Wed, 24 Oct 2007By Steve Moody First Official Pictures 24 October 2007 02:47 Two World Debuts at Tokyo: Are BMW turning Japanese? With the vast proliferation of BMW models, there just aren’t enough motor shows to go round, so Tokyo was treated to the unusual sight of two world debuts from the Germans: the outwardly sensible (but mental behind its closed four doors) M3 and the mental-in-every-way Concept 1 Series tii. The Concept 1 Series tii, BMW executives were extremely keen to point out, is a design study intended to highlight the new coupe’s links to great road and racing BMWs of the past, such as the 2002 tii of the 60s and 70s and the brilliant 3.0 CSL of the 70s.
Infiniti previews Sebastian Vettel-inspired FX50 before Frankfurt motor show
Mon, 29 Aug 2011Infiniti released a photo of the sinister-looking FX50 concept inspired by Sebastian Vettel on Sunday. The 390-hp sports crossover looks to be painted in matte white, which was one of the things discussed in the Vettel FX50 teaser video we saw on Friday. The video shows Vettel and Infiniti design chief Shiro Nakamura discussing the vehicle that is set to debut in Frankfurt, including colors, steering wheels and carbon-fiber accents.
