The ATS gains the latest interpretation of Cadillac's ‘Art & Science' design language, building on the recent, bigger XTS' aesthetics. Fortunately, the ATS' proportions are far more appealing than its awkward bigger brother, with short overhangs, a long wheelbase and wide tracks giving it a good stance.

But if you’re looking to find a way to cut your insurance premiums, then having a ‘Black ‘Box’ fitted to your car to monitor your driving so you get charged for how much – and how well – you drive looks a promising idea.
