My buddy is a well known fabricator here in Lancaster and he had a customer that wanted a water intercooled root supercharger kit fabricated for his 2010 Silverado so he used my 2011 GMC Sierra 5.3 as a mock as trade work for my other car, so he used a mustang blower and 42 LB Injector Dynamics ($138 per injector) and fabricated a water intercooled manifold for on top of the motor. I have included build pictures in the description for you to check out how it was fabricated. It boosts up to 10 PSI and gave it over 400 WHP. It is a complete bolt on kit with no modification of fuel lines or wire harness, its all plug and play. When we got it all together and tuned I had to have a kit so he sold me the mocked kit and now I am selling it with all of the parts for someone else to enjoy. The kit has about 3000 miles on it. It has an internal water intercooler, front mount water intercooler and water box with pump. It whines super loud and gets up and goes. I was very impressed with the performance. The throttle body was moved over about 3 inches and your stock air box can be modified to fit the kit. Im selling it because I sold my truck and bought a 2014 Silverado and its a completely different motor so I was kinda out of luck, but I am selling this one so he can build me another one for my 2014. There are some build pictures on this forum

Last week, we brought you a few mystery car reviews and asked you to guess which vehicle was being reviewed. The response was great, and we want to say congrats to @jasoncashatt, @ericvanderiet, @timothyhowes1 and @ljpancakepantry who all guessed correctly. The three reviews were of the Lexus LS430, Jeep Liberty Renegade and the venerable PT Cruiser, all from 2005.

New Mercedes SL 400 replaces SL 350

Mon, 07 Apr 2014

The new Mercedes SL 400 (pictured) replaces the old SL 350 It’s a little over two years since the latest Mercedes SL arrived, and Mercedes has now decided to add a little zest to sales by dropping the old SL 350 and replacing it with a new Mercedes SL 400. The new SL 400 gets its power from the new E400 which means a twin-turbo 3.0 litre V6 with 328bhp and 354 lb/ft of torque – 26bhp and 81 lb/ft more than the old SL 350 – enough to let the SL 400 scoot to 62 mph in 5.2 seconds – 0.7s better than the 350 -= and on to a limited top speed of 155 mph. The new SL 400 has to make do with Mercedes tried and tested 7-speed auto – despite a new 9-speed now being available in Mercedes’ arsenal – which gives the SL 400 official economy of 38.6 mpg and emissions of 172g/km – not that you’ll come close in the real world.
