hood for the 1998-2002 Pontiac Firebird, Formula, Trans Am.
(It does fit a Firehawk with the addition of a stock bumper cover.) The hood features the following;
*LIFETIME WARRANTY- covers any fitment or structural failures.
*ALL components are 100% HAND-LAID, not chopped glass or closed-molded.
*Durable gloss black gelcoat finish aids in easy paint preparation.
*1/4 inch thick drilled/tapped steel inserts.
*New Grade-8 bolts/washers included.
*Utilizes all original factory mounting hardware.
*Fully functional heat extractors plumb heat away from exhaust manifolds/headers.
*Fully functional ram-air ports (compatible with your original airbox OR
a higher-flow WS6 lower airbox along with any aftermarket lids).
*All ports pre-cut and grilled with heavy-gauge aluminum hexagonal pattern grill stock. (black powder-coat finish)
*Premium materials used include:
. Owings-Corning chopped-strand mat with carbon fiber reinforcements at all bolt locations.
. Reichold premium resins & marine-grade Cook gelcoats
. Valspar EZ-bond adhesives

VW Beetle Turbo, Jetta GLI get power increase
Fri, 03 May 2013Volkswagen's 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is getting a 10-hp boost; the engine is now rated at 210 hp while torque remains unchanged at 207 lb-ft. The engine will be available on the Volkswagen Beetle Turbo coupe and convertible and the Jetta GLI sport sedan. VW claims the new engine shaves 0.2 seconds off the Beetle Turbo's 0-60 mph time, which is now estimated at 6.6 seconds.
