Supermoto Subframe Guard, Frame Protection, Chain Guard, Wr 450f 2005 And Others on 2040-parts.com
Rosemead, California, US
You are bidding on one (1) new, custom made sub-frame guard, to protect your subframe from getting chewed up by the chain. Machined from Black HDPE, they are well made and work very well. The first picture shows a new guard viewed from the rear, the second picture shows a new guard viewed from the side, the third picture shows the guard with some wear from just a few months of riding, and the last pictures show a sub-frame without protection. Don't let this be your subframe. Added: The last set of "dirty" pictures show the wear this guard has taken. It has been held on with only rtv silicone, for the past 4000 miles of rocky & wooded single track riding. I made several of these to fit a 2005 Yamaha WR 450F, for friends and myself; I have some left over, which are now for sale (Should also fit 03 to 04 WR 450's and 03 to 05 YZ 450's). These are for the steel framed WR's with aluminum subframes which are 3/4" wide (right where the chain would make contact). These will definitely fit on 2005 & 2006 WR 450 F models, and may also fit other years as well as 250's and 426's, and probably steel framed YZ's. If it's steel framed and the chain is hitting the aluminum sub-frame just above the frame-mount, and the subframe is 0.75" wide, then this will fit. This attaches with silicone (blue, black, clear, high temp.... what ever you have or want to use), and two zip-ties. I have had the same one on my bike since I noticed some slight grinding on the sub-frame, and the ultra black silicone I used, has kept it on (the zip-ties broke off long ago). Silicone and zip-ties are not included. The guard measures 5.75" long, 1 1/8" wide, and weighs only 1.3 oz./ 36 grams; It is made from very tough and durable black High Density PolyEthylene plastic. Sold as is. If you have any questions, please ask. NO RESERVE.

Citroen Cactus Concept heading for Frankfurt Motor Show
Tue, 27 Aug 2013Citroen Cactus Concept tease It may be the teasing season for car makers as we head for the Frankfurt Motor Show, but Citroen are giving very little away in their tease for a new concept – the Citroen Cactus Concept. The Cactus Concept – a name used before by Citroen in 2007 for the C-Cactus Hybrid – shows what looks to be a compact car with some of the design features at the front we’ve seen on the new C4 Picasso. But with what looks to be chunky plastic cladding round the extremities of the Cactus, we’re guessing Citroen see the Cactus as some sort of small urban warrior, complete with bumpers that bounce back after supermarket trolley collisions with reference in the video to an ‘Air Bump’.
Tata Megapixel concept car at 2012 Geneva motor show
Tue, 06 Mar 2012Remember the Tata Pixel, the posher, glitzier small car from the makers of the Nano breadcase? Now it's back for 2012, with the new Tata Megapixel concept car. It's an upgraded version of Tata's study into an urban runabout for the future, an electric supermini with a motor in each wheel.
