Jaguar XFR (2009) tops 225mph at Bonneville

Running at a secret test at the Bonneville Salt Flats, the one-off prototype, using a tweaked version of Jaguar's new supercharged 5.0-litre V8, topped even the legendary XJ220's 217mph top speed. Daimler raises its stake in Aston Martin to 5%, as alliance deepens

The Mercedes-Benz parent company grew its stakeholding by 1% on 31 July 2014, the company confirmed. Daimler now owns 5% of Aston Martin.
Oldest production Bentley sold at Pebble Beach
Tue, 23 Aug 2011The world's oldest surviving production Bentley was sold at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The 1921 chassis number three – registered AX 3827 in the UK – was bought 90 years ago by Noel van Raalte for $1,895 (£1,150). It was sold in the Gooding & Co.
