Tokyo Motor Show 2013: The Debutants

This year we've seen some great concepts and production models debut at shows across the world, but as the days get shorter and the nights get colder, it's a signal the year is nearly at an end. For CDN, a typically hectic event schedule is concluded with a trip to Tokyo for the forty-third edition of its annual show. Ahead of its opening, the carmakers have begun to announce what we can expect to see sitting pride of place on their stands.

£127k McLaren MP4-12C tops the bill at BCA Auction

A host of luxury and performance cars went under the hammer at the BCA Blackbushe Top Car Auction this week, including a McLaren MP4-12C and a nearly-new Jaguar F-Type. BCA said, "the high-end prestige and sports car market has a strong following with buyers and we have seen lots of interest in high value vehicles during 2013, with bidders prepared to invest six-figure sums for the right vehicle." Mercedes E-class coupe and convertible (2017)

Under development and set for launch in 2017, the new sports cars share the all-new hardware from the E-class saloon (codenamed W213), including its boxfresh straight-six engines, and a high-tech cockpit to make Luke Skywalker envious. The design will evolve the look of the current car, which is pictured here.
