The petrol car is also nicer to drive. Residual values were always a weak point with Ford.

Using the same running gear as its hard-topped siblings, the M4 Convertible adds a touch more glamour thanks to that electric folding roof.     General Motors has been in Germany, testing the most powerful Chevrolet Camaro ever produced. On Wednesday, the company said the Camaro ZL1 posted a lap time of 7 minutes, 41.27 seconds. The 2012 Camaro ZL1 ran around the 13-mile course a tick faster than the 2005 Porsche 911 GT3 and a tick slower than 911 Turbo S.
