This is our racing quality stroker kit for the Ford FE 390, 428 or 427 engine - up to 482 cubic inches!

A serious upgrade for high powered applications

Covered extensively in numerous magazines, this engine package makes a profound improvement in power and torque for any Ford FE engine.

Our FE stroker kits are significantly better than what competing suppliers offer.  We use only name brand suppliers - no white boxes, no mystery metal, and no cheap rebuilder quality junk hidden behind a made up house brand name.  We have actually built these engines - hundreds of them - and do so every week in our own fully equipped engine shop, and run them on our own dyno to prove and refine the combinations.  We can tell you what works, what fits, what does not, and can prove it with first hand experience.  Many of our proven combinations can be viewed running on YouTube, and can be read about by visiting our FE engine tech forum, where complete write-ups and dyno data are available.

Included in the kit are:

Genuine FORGED Scat brand 4.250 stroke crankshaft (no unknown or secondary suppliers)

Callies Ultra brand 6.700 long H beam rods with upgraded ARP Ultra fasteners (American forged and machined)

Federal Mogul race main bearings with 3/4 oiling groove - not cheap passenger car stuff

Federal Mogul race rod bearings with chamfer clearance for the crankshaft radiiCheaper passenger car parts often will not provide adequate clearance!

File fit plasma-moly piston ring set - matched to the pistons

Diamond custom forged piston set.  Specifically made for FE strokers these pistons feature unique dome and interior designs, for the ultimate combination of light weight and strength.  Available for 390s, 428s, and 427s with a dish for pump gas compression or a flat top for higher compression.  A huge variety of oversized bores are available, and custom domes and sizes are optional at extra cost.

Other pistons and brands are available for numerous applications and engines - Mahle, SRP or Probe, and numerous sizes and configurations for 427 and 428 based stroker combinations.

Our kits are internally balanced in house, on our own nearly new computerized balancer.  They require you use an internal balance flywheel and damper such as found on a normal 390 or 427.  Balancing is included in every kit - not a hidden extra cost add on.

Our kits do not require any grinding or clearance work when installed in any factory 360, 390, 4287, or 427 block.

Our kits will work with any aftermarket aluminum heads.  They will also work with production iron heads as well.

Depending on your choice of cylinder heads and camshaft, this kit will support as much as 800 horsepower.  We have built and dyno tested combinations with mild cams and iron heads at the 400 horsepower level for trucks, and have run some with a large roller cams, high compression and a Victor or dual quad intakes that exceeded the 750 horsepower level.

Powered by a 168bhp version of VW’s ubiquitous common rail 2.0-litre turbodiesel four it sprints to 62mph in just 8.1sec compared with 7.1sec for the 207bhp petrol GTi and its 136mph top speed falls 12mph short. But with 256lb ft of torque (the GTi makes do with 207lb ft) on hand, the diesel should have the upper hand in mid-range performance.

A top luxury car finance house has revealed that the Range Rover Evoque is now the most popular financed car. Land Rover is still struggling to keep up with demand for the Range Rover Evoque, and is busy recruiting like mad and moving production to a 24hr, three shift system to help keep up with the number of Evoques flying out of showrooms. In the first year on sale, the Evoque racked up sales of 18,000 and so in demand is the Evoque that Land Rover are even resorting to trying to block grey market sales.

Chevy Cruze Diesel: As torquey as a classic Camaro?

From the Department Of Silly Press Releases comes this missive from deep within the bowels of the Renaissance Center, Junior Wool-Pulling Division, located next to the Quizno's. "Cruze Clean Turbo Diesel Delivers Classic Muscle Car Torque," it reads, and while torque is the Great Equalizer of the continued championing of the diesel engine, comparing it to the sturm und drang of launching a 1972 Camaro Z28 from the parking lot of the Hendersonville, Tenn., Shoney's is tantamount to the sort of blasphemy that gets people excommunicated. For the record, the Chevrolet Cruze Diesel's 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine produces 264 lb-ft of torque, more than the Volkswagen Jetta TDI's at 236 lb-ft.
