Frankfurt Motor Show 2013 – Trends and Overview

Despite news of flat-lining car sales across Europe, the show was one of the defiant rolling out of new models. Thanks to the likes of Goodwood's popular Revival meeting for historically significant race cars, interest in such formats is on the rise. Along with genuinely historic machinery, the circuit will play host to the inaugural round of the new Super Touring Car Championship.
SRT Viper production halted amid slow sales
Wed, 19 Mar 2014Chrysler has made the decision to suspend production of the SRT Viper for a least two months, citing slow sales. The move is expected to result in layoffs of 91 hourly workers at Chrysler's Conner Avenue Assembly plant in Detroit. Back in October of 2013, Chrysler cut Viper production by a third, citing slow sales and growing inventories.
