You can’t drive any old banger to join this group: it’s got to be a bona fide supercar or it’s back off to the Impreza forums with you. Anyway, once a year SCD holds a ‘secret meet’, an opportunity for members to get together and enjoy the fruits of their labours in the company of similarly endowed enthusiasts.

It’s all done in a very good cause – BBC Children in Need – and the sum raised, for what is effectively a four day jaunt in decent Ferraris, is simply astonishing. This year Chris and the Ferraris raised a whopping £1.1 million for Children in Need thanks to the generosity of those who bid to get one of the places in Chris’s Ferrari trip round South East England.

Accidents caused by 'sun dazzle' jump 12%

ACCIDENTS caused by the sun’s dazzling rays rose by 12% last year according to Department for Transport (DfT) figures. The official statistics show that ‘sun dazzle’ was a major factor in 2,905 accidents in 2012, compared to 2,592 in 2011. A-roads were the most common location for accidents influenced by sun dazzle, at 41% of the total.
