This is a new 1 3/8 inches wide x 1 7/8 inches long for the leather part, the metal emblem part is 1 inch x 1 inch (sizes are approximate) extended length is 2 7/8 inches. This can be combined with other items from my ebay store. Tue, 10 Jun 2014Lotus Exige LF1 Limited Edition – one for every Lotus F1 victory It’s a nice idea to build a limited edition car – the Lotus Exige LF1 – to celebrate very one of the 81 victories Lotus has enjoyed in F1, but it does make you wonder if Lotus has done it because they’re never likely to win again (and if they do, do they produce another LF1?). Still, Lotus has pulled out the icon JPS livery for the Lotus Exige S (from the days cigarettes could be advertised) to give the LF1 a pretty paint job of black and gold (with added red bits) including a black and gold Lotus badge up front and a contrast stitched interior with F1 logos on the seats. Also interesting is that each car will receive a plaque commemorating each individual victory, from the 1960 win at Monaco with Stirling Moss behind the wheel to the last in Australia in 2013 with Kimi Raikkonen.
Fewer commuters but longer journeys
Thu, 27 Mar 2014PEOPLE ARE TRAVELLING further to get to work but the number of commuters is falling as more staff work from home, according to official figures. Based on Census statistics, the average distance travelled to work in England and Wales increased from 8.3 miles (13.4km) in 2001 to 9.32 miles (15km) in 2011. Those living in the Midlands and south west England had the largest increase in average distance travelled between 2001 and 2011 - going an extra 1.36 miles (2.2km).
BMW Alpina B7 – the closest you’ll get to an M7
Sat, 09 Jan 2010The BMW Alpina B7 - now available in the US BMW has made it clear that they won’t be making an ‘M’ version of the 7 Series. I know, we’ve hear that all before with the X5, but they seem adamant. In fact, one of our readers questioned our story about ‘No BMW M7‘ a couple of months ago after his local dealer said the M7 was coming in Spring 2010.
