This
vegetable oil and/or Diesel heater was specifically developed for use with Vegetable
oil as a fuel substitute. It was designed to heat the vegetable oil to a
temperature of 70 degrees Celcius (150 F) which is the minimum temperature for
proper operation in a Diesel engine.
This results in long term, reliable operation of a Diesel engine on
vegetable oil. Vegetable Oil has a substantially higher viscosity than Diesel
and must be pre-heated to the appropriate temperature.

Installation location: When installed directly before the injection pump, the unit ensures that the vegetable oil reaches the desired temperature of approx. 70° Celsius prior to the injection pump. This auxiliary module is easy to install due to its compact size. It is simply inserted directly into the Diesel hoses which hold it into place. No drilling to the body of the vehicle is necessary! Compatibility: This unit is designed to be used only in conjunction with our complete kits, which provide a single tank system. The auxiliary module is recommended for colder climates where significantly lower temperatures can be expected. This auxiliary heaters is installed directly before the Diesel filter. This prevents gelling in the filter which, in extreme cases, could prevent proper operation of the filter, and loss of adequate fuel delivery to the engine. | ||||||
| Operation:
Upon engine startup, the heater raises the temperature of the vegetable oil to approx. 70°Celsius (158 F). Using a bi metal thermostat, the unit shuts off automatically when this temperature is achieved. If the temperature falls under 60°C, the unit automatically switches on again. At any time, regular Diesel can be used. Use of this module with straight Diesel in the winter helps protect your diesel engine. By preheating Diesel and/or Vegetable Oil, the viscosity is improved prior to the filter, and therefore helps protect the injection pump. Gelled fuel can cause premature wear on the injection system. Thus this pre-heater is and advantage for all Diesels in the winter, helping extend engine life! | ||||||
