Bentley Continental Supersports clocks 204 mph on road to Geneva motor show
Tue, 24 Feb 2009Bling may not be the obvious place to be for a luxury sports car maker today, but here's Bentley showing what the ultimate development of the Continental GT will be. The Continental Supersports will be shown next week at the Geneva motor show as a production model. Its 630-hp turbocharged W12 will make it the fastest and most-powerful Bentley ever.
Lotus planning Electric Car
Sat, 03 Jan 2009I suppose it was inevitable that Lotus would not settle for simply supplying Tesla with the chassis for their electric car, and would look to jump on the bandwagon of electric cars (EV). Lotus CEO, Michael Kimberly, has told the Financial Times that Lotus is planning an electric car “sooner rather than later”, and went on to say that it will be an extended range battery vehicle. Extended range EVs (like the Chevy Volt) are probably the best option for a mainstream car at the moment, at least until you can buy hydrogen at the pumps other than in California.
Citroen Tubik concept
Sat, 03 Sep 2011Citroen has revealed the Tubik, a large upright MPV concept which draws on the French automaker's previous Tub van from the late 1930s. The surface language of the MPV - the car doubles as both a commercial van and a people carrier - is decidedly more technical than previous Citroen concepts, but it still sports a resolutely rounded aesthetic. Its front face draws heavily on the 1948 Type H van, which was built up through to the 1980s.
