I have a set of four Wire wheels from the early 1980's. I purchased them for my 1985 Cadillac Seville, but I got an offer for my car that I couldn't turn down before these arrived. These are the 14" FWD style, where the spokes stick out past the outer edge of the rim. The lug nut holes look to be slotted like mags, so these probably fit another bolt pattern or two. The tires have been removed for easier shipping. These rims are solid besides two of the caps are cracked (there metal so someone could weld them back together?). Fri, 11 Mar 2011Aston Martin V8 Vantage S on track at the Ascari Circuit in Spain We’re always up for a bit of Aston Martin goodness, so we were more than happy to report in January that Aston Martin has added a bit of extra oomph to the V8 to create the Aston Martin V8 Vantage S. To be honest, there’s not a huge amount of extra power on the Vantage V8 S – just 10bhp – but there are a chunk of tweaks that make it very appealing, including a new seven speed Sportshift ‘box, sharper steering, better braking and a bit of suspension tweaking to make the V8S that bit more aggressive. All this new V8 S goodness was served up at the Geneva Motor Show last week, but we got a bit sidetracked with the new Aston Martin Virage – or DB9 Ghia – in a marmite shade of orange hogging AM’s Geneva stand.
Porsche rejects BlueSport Concept
Thu, 14 May 2009Porsche has rejected the BlueSport concept as a new entry-level Porsche The VW BlueSport concept debuted at the Detroit Motor Show in January, and offered the prospect of an economical, fun roadster from the VW group. But at the time VW made it clear that the car would have to work across three of its brands to be viable. VW are obviously up for the project, and Audi look likely to go along with BlueSport with the planned E2 Roadster.
