New Subaru Legacy revealed – but it’s not coming to the UK
Fri, 07 Feb 2014The new Subaru Legacy (pictured) has been revealed in Chicago The new Subaru Legacy was teased last week ahead of its reveal at the Chicago Auto Show, and now it’s been revealed it’s a bit…disappointing. It’s disappointing because it has really lost the flair and swoopy style of the new Legacy Concept we saw at the L.A. Auto Show in November, replacing it with a slightly rakish traditional saloon.
30 years of Seat Ibiza, yet the design compromises sound familiar
Fri, 01 Aug 2014Over four model generations and thirty years, the Seat Ibiza's design has been overseen by some influential people; Giorgetto Giugiaro, Walter de Silva and Luc Donckerwolke shaped the Ibizas of the past, while the facelift of the most-recent model is the first to receive input from current Seat design director, Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos. Volkswagen has been the majority shareholder of Seat since 1986, taking full control in 1990. In that time, despite the designers who have passed through its doors, the brand has struggled to find its position within the Group.
Bentley Continental V8 flies in to Munich (video)
Fri, 10 Feb 2012The Bentley Continental V8 flies across Munich The Bentley Continental V8 made a dramatic public debut in Munich when it was flown to the SkyLounge for its launch. The plan to debut the new Bentley Continental V8 (apparently we shouldn’t call it the Continental GT V8, just the Continental V8) in Germany in Munich’s SkyLounge might sound like a perfectly reasonable thing to do. After all, every car maker needs a ‘venue’ for a launch to make an impact, and something called the ‘SkyLounge’ sounds like it might make a good backdrop for Bentley’s newest toy.
