SYNAPSE SYNCHRONIC DIVERTER VALVE KIT w/ 1" HOSE END ADAPTERS - AUDI 1.8T & VW 1.8T

Condition: Brand New

Part Number:
DV001A.003

Application: 2001-2008 Audi A4 1.8T 20v Gas Engine
1997-2003 Volkswagen 1.8T 20v Gas Engine Turbo

Description: Synchronic DV is the first, truly compact, zero-diaphragm, high-flow Diverter Valve with a blistering actuation time measured at 25 milliseconds. Mass air flow (MAF) and speed density (MAP) applications can apply the new design in push or pull orientation with the ability to fully re-circulate or vent-to-atmosphere the valves discharge. Construction is based on near-net investment casting of aerospace-grade Aluminum for the body, followed by post-process CNC machining of all components including the forged billet 6061 actuator assembly. A complete selection of available mounting flanges are interchangeable between the SB and DV series and users can either upgrade from an existing BOV/DV by simply bolting on an adapter or weld on to a new project using the Aluminum or Stainless weld flanges. Boost/vacuum connections are made via 1/8th NPT threaded bosses that accept either Boost Connect or included nickel-plated-brass barb fittings. Each assembly is pressure tested to withstand 60 psi and positive lock clamshell retainers are included with each assembly for fitment.

This kit is compatible for Volkswagen and Audi that are equipped with 1" hosing attached to the OE BPV. This kit is also compatible with most European OE turbocharged EFI vehicles and also work perfectly as an upgrade/replacement for the plastic Bosch diverter valves on many aftermarket Centrifugal Supercharger and turbo kits.

Brand new, sealed from the factory!  Ships insured with tracking numbers provided.

Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera teases Geneva concept car

Wed, 15 Feb 2012

Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera has released a teaser image of its 2012 Disco Volante Concept, which will debut at next month's Geneva motor show. In 1952, the Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring teamed up with Alfa Romeo to create a series of special-bodied cars to trial new technologies as well as being easily adaptable for racing. Perhaps the most famous (and beautiful) was the 1952 Alfa Romeo Disco Volante (C52) which was based on the Alfa 1900, with both coupe and Spider convertible bodies produced.

Kia GT and Provo look to be heading in to production

Tue, 12 Mar 2013

The recent Kia Provo Concept and the impressive Kia GT look like they’re heading in to production as Kia move upmarket. Equally, the stunning Kia GT concept we saw at 2 years ago at Frankfurt  - a swoopy coupe Kia take on the Mercedes CLS – was equally convincing, although we’d begun to think Kia had gone cold on the idea of putting the Kia GT in to production. But Auto Express are reporting that both the Provo (with a change of name ) and the GT are close to being signed off for production after a conversation with Benny Oeyen, Kia’s marketing boss in Europe.

The World's fastest car - the Keating TKR Not heard of the Keating TKR? Probably our fault for not running anything before. But it does make interesting reading so we’re remiss in not doing so before.
