Our stainless steel wire rope with 7x19 standard construction can be used over pulleys, rigging, winches, in exercise equipment, garage door mechanics, and for yachting ropes and control cables. Made with stainless steel AISI304, also called 18-8, is corrosion-resistant, resists scaling, and withstands high temperatures for a wide range of operation. Stainless steel is a versatile material, commonly used in a wide variety of applications, and in saline atmospheres. 7x19 strand core has seven strands of wire rope with nineteen wires in each strand formed helically around a strand core.

Wire rope, also called wire cable, is an assembly of wire strands formed helically around a central core. It is used for pulling, lifting, rigging, hoisting, and motion-control applications most commonly found in the manufacturing, marine, oil, mining, fiber-optics, aircraft, automotive accessory, and construction industries. A combination of characteristics including material, finish, construction, diameter, length, and breaking strength combines to give each rope its performance ability. Wire rope materials are selected for properties such as strength, elasticity, conductivity, and chemical- and weather-resistance. For strength purposes, most wire rope is made of bright (uncoated or bare) wire. The breaking strength for wire rope is the strength at which new wire rope will fail under a stationary load. Breaking strength is not considered safe working load (SWL) limit.

New (2014) Mercedes S-Class highlights on video

Mon, 10 Jun 2013

The new Mercedes S Class (pictured) boasts a wealth of technology The new Mercedes S Class was launched last month as a styling evolution of the current S Class, but with a wealth of new safety and technology systems lurking under its, still familiar, skin. The S Class may be portrayed as a bit of a ‘Merchant Bankers’ car, but anyone who’s lived with one for any period of time will know there’s really nothing quite like it (well, if you ignore the mistake that was the W220 S Class), and now Mercedes has got its quality Mojo back, the W221 is once again a very special S Class, and the new W222 promises to be even more special. We know that the 2014 S Class will get a range of engines from frugal 4-cylinder to potent V12 – with engines to suit all in between – but whatever engine you choose there will be a raft of technology at your fingertips (some at extra cost depending on the model you buy), so Mercedes has been busy producing a ‘Story’ video highlighting much of the new S-Class’s tech.

VW at Leipzig Auto Show: CC R Line, Scirocco GTS, Beetle Fender & CrossPolo ‘Urban White’

Fri, 01 Jun 2012

Volkswagen is going to the 2012 Leipzig Auto Show with a quartet of new models, but only one is heading for the UK. The Leipzig Auto Show may not rank in the top tier of world car shows, but that’s not stopping Volkswagen from turning up with a whole heap of new models this weekend. The VW CC R Line is exactly what it says on the badge, a butched-up version of VW’s CC with a set of 17″ alloys, a bit of a body kit, a splash of chrome and a R Line multi function steering wheel inside.

Tue, 01 Mar 2011

The wait for Toyota’s rear-wheel drive coupe is nearly over. The new Toyota FT-86 II was unveiled today at the 2011 Geneva motor show, alongside the Subaru version. The two sports cars are being co-developed and Toyota president Akio Toyoda makes no bones about his mission for the FT-86: ‘I want to transfer the thrill of the race track to our vehicles, and make driving fun and exciting for our customers,’ he said.
