Aston Martin V12 Zagato production debut in Kuwait
Fri, 27 Jan 2012Aston Martin V12 Zagato production debut in Kuwait The production ready version of the Aston Martin V12 Zagato we first saw at Villa D’Este will be unveiled at the Kuwait Concours d’Elegance in February. Last spring saw the Aston Martin V12 Zagato – spiritual successor to the Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato – arrive at Villa D’Este, looking every bit as good as you would expect an Aston Martin by Zagato to look. There were doubts expressed about whether the v12 Zagato would go in to production – at least publicly – but it was always clear that the V12 Zagato was Aston Martin['s next halo car, following on from the even more extreme (certainly cost-wise) Aston Martin One-77.
Design Contest: Freightliner 'Pride & Profit'
Fri, 03 Feb 2012Freightliner, the iconic American truck manufacturer, is hosting a design contest to create the next generation of its 'Pride & Profit' trucks. Steeped heavily in American history, Freightliner has been the backbone of small and large businesses throughout the country. Taking this into consideration, as well as Freightliner's own visual identity, contestants are asked to present their interpretation of a heavy-duty truck for the year 2030.
How will you get to work in the year 2030?
Wed, 08 Oct 2014Imagine a future where New Jersey adopts mass public transit and on-demand jitneys; Boston becomes hyper-dense and walking becomes the primary means of transport; Atlanta disperses even further and relies on solar power, electric cars and Google connected technologies to manage mobility; and Los Angeles tries autonomous cars, but finds the transition difficult, and its gridlock even worse. These are the scenarios proposed in a new study by New York University's Rudin Center for Transport Policy and Management. The report, which proposes scenarios rather than making predictions about the future of transportation in the US, repeatedly points to connected car technologies, autonomous cars and logistics networks as driving forces in regional mobility solutions.
