 Description
High Compression/ Boosting Turbocharger:
The objective of a turbocharger is to improve the engine's volumetric efficiency by solving the amount of air flow into the combustion chamber limitation. This ultimately results in an increased torque and output of the engine. A naturally aspirated automobile engine uses only the downward stroke of a piston to create an area of low pressure in order to draw air into the cylinder through the intake valves. The pressure in the atmosphere is about 1 atm (approximately 14.7 PSI),so there ultimately will be a limit to the pressure difference across the intake valves. This will also limit the amount of airflow entering the combustion chamber. Since the turbocharger increases the pressure at the point where air is entering the cylinder, a greater mass of air (oxygen) will be forced in as the inlet manifold pressure increases. The additional air/oxygen flow makes it possible to maintain the combustion chamber pressure and fuel/air load even at high engine revolution speeds, increasing the power and torque output of the engine. 36" Stainless Steel Braided Oil Feed Line & 0.5" Oil Drain Linee: Oil feed lines and returns lines are an essential part of any turbo system. Oil feed lines bring oil to the turbocharger, at the same time the oil cools and lubricates the moving parts. The Oil Drain Lines take the oil that has passed through the turbo and guides it back into the engine’s oil pan. Without these two components, the turbocharger’s internals would overheat or seize causing major complications. Oil feed and oil return lines feature stainless steel braiding to resist heat, pressure, and expansion of the lines. Mon, 04 Mar 2013While Lamborghini, Ferrari and McLaren are getting ready for the Geneva motor show, Mitsubishi continues to zig by revealing a concept for the 34th Bangkok International Motor Show. The Concept G4 is a compact sedan powered by a 1.2-liter MIVEC engine with a CVT. Mitsubishi says that the sedan carries the company's next-generation styling, including a diamond motif in the front grille, new headlights and an aggressively styled rear fascia.
2013 Ford Kuga goes in to production
Mon, 03 Dec 2012The new (2013) Ford Kuga crossover – which debuted at Geneva in the Spring – has now gone in to production in Spain ahead of first customer car deliveries. Ford has announced it’s finally started to churn out the new Kuga at its plant in Valencia, and that the Kuga will be heading to Ford’s UK showrooms to get customer cars out in the new year. Despite starting production of the new Kuga, Ford still hasn’t come up with prices for its compact crossover, but says they will be available before the end of the year. On offer in the new Kuga is a range of new technology including the kick-to-open tailgate, Active Park Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring Torque Vectoring Control, SYNC and the first use of Ford’s EcoBoost engines in the Kuga (although no sign yet that the 1.0 litre EcoBoost will be added to the Kuga).
