Cleaning out Grandpa’s garage and found this apparently new electric ignition tachometer that looks like a FARIA brand, which seems to be adaptable to several different cylinder arrangements.  (See the backside photo) which we offer without reserve.  While it is not in a box and the only identification is the label on the back it certainly LOOKS like it has never been used at all.  Note we have not used it nor tested it and can not guarantee it at all.  This is a Great opportunity to get a super deal.   Don’t miss out.  It is being sold with NO RESERVE which is rare indeed.

Fiat launches new MultiAir engines

Mon, 09 Mar 2009

By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 09 March 2009 14:02 Fiat showed off the detail of its new MultiAir engines at the 2009 Geneva motor show – and we’ll finally be able to buy the tech on the new Alfa Romeo Mito supermini later in 2009. The brains behind the common-rail injection system that shook up diesel technology have now produced a new technology designed to make petrol engines more efficient and cleaner. Engineers claim the MultiAir engines – which use electrohydraulic actuation, rather than the more widely available electromechanical systems – boost power and torque, while cutting CO2 by between 10% and 25% and other pollutants by up to 60%.

July 2: Am I in the wrong?

Fri, 02 Jul 2010

Last night at the airport, the car was fully charged and no one had stolen the high-tech multi-pronged plug. So I rolled up the extension cord, tossed it in the back and drove home. I hit 140 km/hr, or 86.8 mph on the freeway.

Tyre labelling not telling full story

Fri, 27 Jun 2014

THE NEW TYRE LABELLING scheme to tell drivers how environmentally efficient a tyre performs is not giving the full picture, according to Emissions Analytics. Tests show that at certain speeds, tyres with a lower efficiency rating can perform as well as those with a higher rating. This means drivers could be paying more for higher rated tyres when they would be as well off with a more affordable tyre.
