But it didn’t work out like that. In fact, the 2013 Belgian Grand Prix turned in to a demonstration of the powers of Sebastian Vettel and his Red Bull, as the German wasted no time taking Hamilton in the very early stages before going on to control the race from the front, and take a resounding victory with his fifth win of the season.

The Moose Test is probably best remembered as the potential downfall of the original Mercedes A Class, when Teknikens Värld Magazine conducted a test on the then very new – and groundbreaking – high-riding A-Class, when it rolled over and cost Mercedes a small fortune in re-engineering to restore safety credibility to the A-Class. Now it’s Porsche’s turn to come under the spotlight after Teknikens Värld ran a test on a Macan S Diesel that exhibited some strange behaviour during the test.

The VW Golf R 400 Concept takes the regular Golf R – perhaps the most ‘grown-up’ hot hatch you can buy – and not only adds more power but extreme styling too. That means the 2.0 litre turbo 4-cylinder engine in the Golf R being crankes up to deliver 395bhp (400PS) which cuts the 0-62mph time by a full second over the production Golf R with the DSG ‘box to a supercar-bashing 3.9 seconds.
