Sat, 20 Jun 2009Citroen Hypnos Concept will be the basis for the new Citroen DS5 Update 12/2/2010: Citroen has now revealed the DS 4 in concept form as the Citroen DS High rider Concept. The publicity for the push by Citroen for a more up-market position in car buyers minds started in earnest when details of the Citroen DS Inside Concept were first revealed back in February. That was followed up by the reveal of the DS Inside Concept at Geneva the following month, followed by more details of the Citroen DS3 in the following months.
McLaren P11 at Nurburgring – launch imminent
Fri, 21 Aug 2009The McLaren P11 has been pounding round the Nurburgring ahead of a launch on 9th September Ahead of the launch of the P11, McLaren are pushing on with testing the P11, and our picture here is of the P11 pounding round the Nurburgring in final testing. The McLaren P11 is the first stage of McLaren’s plans to launch a range of three new cars in the next few years. The P11 is aimed directly at the new Ferrari 458 Italia and the Lamborghini LP560-4.
First Sight: Holden Torana concept
Wed, 13 Oct 2004Holden has stolen the limelight at the opening of the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney, unveiling a ground-up concept car dubbed the Torana TT36. The concept revives a famous Australian nameplate from the 1970s - appropriate since, like the original Torana, it features rear wheel drive and a six cylinder engine. That's where the similarities end, however, as the new Torana's engine is an experimental 280kW/490Nm twin turbocharged version of the new global V6 Holden has begun manufacturing for various parts of the GM world and which will eventually be used by Alfa Romeo.
