We put this GM adjustable fuel pressure regulator kit together so you can tune your stock or modified TBI motor for more power and better fuel mileage.  This includes a custom wound spring for adjusting from 10-25psi - or install your stock spring for 10-15psi.  We also tap the injector top and include new, longer stainless steel screws to make installation of the regulator easier

Fits the following applications: 1986-95 V6 or V8 2.8L, 4.3L, 5,0L, 5.7L and 7.4L  mid and full size Chevrolet / GMC trucks, Silverado, Sierra, S10, TBI Blazer, Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon, TBI Camaro and Firebird, TBI Cadillac, Caprice, Impala, most any GM TBI twin injector motor.  Also fits Mercruiser and Volvo Penta motors w/ TBI injection.

Increase your fuel pressure if you have installed a cam, headers, free flow exhaust and/or out 46mm TBI.  Increased fuel pressure will put more fuel in your motor and keep it from leaning out thus making more power.

5.7L injectors at 12psi are good to about 225hp.  The same injectors at 20psi are good to 300hp, 25psi - 340hp - you get the idea.

What are you getting here?:

  • Injector pod top w/ AFPR regulator body
  • regulator body modified to be adjustable from 10-25psi w/ installed custom wound spring
  • longer stainless steel regulator screws to ease installation
  • hex key for adjusting the regulator once installed
  • Instructions for installing and adjusting the regulator
  • regulator can may be a different color from shown - usually silver or black
  • stock TBI pressure is 10-12psi
  • Install your regulator rubber to complete - or see our ebay store for this same kit w/ a new regulator diaphragm

** Second photo shows what your injector setup should look like to use this kit - only the kit in the 1st photo is included

Use this kit with our TBI power up kits, or if you are swapping injectors and want to fine tune your fueling

1994-95 7.4L BBC TBI and all TBI boat motors are 28psi from the factory. You will want to install the OEM spring which is then adjustable from 25-35psi.

Payment and Shipping - we usually ship all orders USPS priority within 24hrs (except holidays and Sundays) For priority or express shipping, please see the ebay shipping calculator tab - Paypal only per ebay rules.

MPG or performance: It's a trade with turbos

Mon, 10 Jun 2013

Some automakers say turbochargers offer high fuel economy and quick acceleration, the best of both worlds. Well, yes and no. Turbocharged vehicles allow automakers to keep power output high while they downsize engines for better fuel economy.

2013 Mercedes CLS63 AMG & Shooting Brake get new E63 AMG power hike

Thu, 10 Jan 2013

The 2013 Mercedes CLS 63 AMG and Shooting Brake are getting the same power upgrades as the new E63 AMG and the E 63 AMG S. But hidden in the press info that come in from Mercedes on the new E63 AMG was the news that the power upgrades it gets will also be offered on the CLS 63 AMG (and its Estate version – the CLS Shooting Brake) and that there will be a CLS 63 AMG S version too. That means that the regular CLS 63 AMg will now get 549bhp and be able to scoot to 62mph in 4.2 seconds, with the CLS 63 AMG S – with 577bhp –  probably getting to 62mph just a tenth quicker at 4.1 seconds.

Subaru BRZ Turbo to get 280bhp

Mon, 22 Oct 2012

The much hoped for Subaru BRZ Turbo – the Subaru version of the Toyota GT86 – is set to arrive in 2014 with 280bhp. Last year we reported that a Subaru BRZ Turbo was in the planning (even though the official line was that the BRZ and GT86 would stick with natural aspiration) and now it looks like development is well advanced and the BRZ Turbo will arrive in 2014. Automotive News are reporting that Subaru are working hard on a turbocharged direct injection version of the BRZ with a single twin-scroll turbo they’ve developed in-house, as opposed to the port injection system currently used in the BTZ, which is a Toyota system.
